In plain terms, before you tick the box:
What we keep about you
Your name and contact details, what you want in a match, and the profile your person writes about you. Any photos you upload. Your ID and a selfie, used only to confirm it’s really you.
Your person writes about you
Someone who knows you answers a few questions to build a warm profile, so you don’t have to sell yourself. You read every word before anyone sees it. If something doesn’t sit right, you can ask them to rewrite it, and nothing goes live until you approve.
Nothing happens without you
Your profile is only shown to others once you say it’s ready. Every date that gets suggested needs your own private yes. You can step away at any time, and if you say “no” to someone, they’re never told.
What others see of you
Only what you approve. You choose how much. Before any date, you both always see each other’s verified name, photo and plan, so no one turns up blind.
Your rights over your data
You can download everything we hold about you any time, and ask us to delete it. Religion is sensitive, so we only keep it if you allow it, and never use it in statistics. (These are your POPIA rights.)
We keep a record
Each time you say yes, we note it with the date. Not to catch you out, just so there’s a record of what you agreed to.
